Hello! My name is Teacher Maddy and I’m from Singapore. I have a degree in English Literature and Sociology from the National University of Singapore. I hold a TEFL certificate and can speak both English and Mandarin. I have been working with children and teenagers, together with their parents, for the past 20 years. I enjoy helping children develop a love for English just like how my mother has helped nurture that in me. From the age of 5, my mother would bring my sister and me to the National Library to borrow 8 books every fortnight. She would read these stories to us until we fell asleep every night. When I grew older, she would encourage me to read these books on my own. This was how she nurtured a love for reading and learning in my life! In my journey as a lifelong learner, I have attained certificates in Child Psychology, Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Art Therapy. I am also a certified ACLP Adult Trainer. Learning with me is fun and new every day. It is my goal to make my classes engaging, practical yet challenging. When I’m not teaching, I love going for nature walks, taking photos of wildlife and café hopping with my friends. See you soon!
